Predominantly Annapurna region holds its significance in terms of its beautiful landscapes, flora, fauna, cultural diversities, customs and rituals. Especially Pokhara city which lies beneath Annapurna massif is one of the most beautiful cities in the world which draws tens of thousands of adventure tourists every year.
The best gliding season in Nepal falls between November and February, the best months therefore being November and December. There are various options of paragliding including an introductory course along with tandem flights where one is likely to fly with experienced instructor.
Among various beautiful sites for paragliding Sarangkot has an easy access from Pokhara city which lies about 700 meters above Pokhara. A short drive for around half an hour leads you to the flying site from where one can observe the breath-taking views of Mt. Fishtail Annapurna ranges, fewa Lake, beautiful mountain scapes, lush green forest and terraced fields.
Some of the most fascinating sites are Bandipur, Tansen, Sirkot, Mattikhan, Dhiki Danda which give you an access to experience the beauties of the varieties of landscapes. Likewise, Liglig Kot of Gorkha, a highland near Thanti Pokhari from where the spectacular view of Mt Manaslu in the north, and Marsyangdi and Chepe River can be observed.
